The role: The Tax Advisor will report to the Head of Group Taxation. The main focus of the role will to be to advise on and manage overseas corporation and sales taxes for the business, primarily EMEA but will also cover some other jurisdictions. The main duties will include:

• - Review all major bids and proposals to ensure all direct and indirect tax risk is priced into the contracts and to ensure the most efficient structures are utilised. Typically 100 overseas bids totalling in excess of £1billion in 30 countries each year.
• - Implementation of planning on successful bids
• - Provide main interface between the Group and HMRC on international tax issues
• - Monitor and manage overseas direct and indirect tax submissions and positions (including audits and controls)
• - Keep department procedures and systems up to date for all international tax changes and initiate creative planning solutions where appropriate
• - Liaise with Finance on year end tax provisioning
