Tax Director, Glasgow, UK
My client, the world's fifth largest accountancy network with more than 1,000 offices in over 100 countries, is looking to appoint an experienced Tax Director to join their Glasgow office.
Ideally, they are looking for someone who can act as a key point of contact within the firm for the client and take responsibility for tax planning and complex tax issues.
On top of this, you will be expected to:
o Play a significant role in supporting the Partners with the management of their client portfolio
o Act as a client relationship point of contact for significant clients
o Be responsible for undertaking Strategic Reviews and related assignments for key clients and will be expected to be a Board level influencer
o Use strategic networking and business development pitches to win new clients
o Control commercial management of your clients i.e. ensure assignments are completed within agreed budgets and keep client/partner informed of overruns, negotiating additional fees where possible.
The Experience
We are looking for a Tax Director who can demonstrate the following:
o Educated to degree level; and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent
o Is up to date with and can maintain an in depth and up to date knowledge of relevant aspects of taxation
o The ability to deal with complex tax issues
o At least 8 years post qualified experience
