Our client is a well regarded international banking group. Recent growth has created an opportunity for a qualified tax accountant to join the South Africa Taxation Division.
The Role
The role is based in Cape Town with the successful candidate becoming a valued member of the EMEA tax team.
The role is a stand alone position taking responsibility for the tax compliance aspects for the South African region. The role will involve looking at all direct and indirect tax issues that arise on a day to day basis, liaising with the finance function, the global tax function and external advisers.
The Person
The successful candidate will be a qualified chartered accountant with tax experience and ideally exposure to financial services issues. The role may suit a South African trained professional that has been working in the UK for the last 1 or 2 years and is seeking a return home.
In addition you will have the ability to work autonomously with an eye for detail and possess high energy levels.
The Package
Base salary of R550k ? R600k with bonus and attractive benefits package.
