This tax specialist will be responsible for the review of state income tax returns, preparation of unitary state filings, tax provision and tax analytics for multiple legal entities across different businesses, with an emphasis on consumer banking.

Responsibilities for the Tax Analyst 4 - AVP include, but are not limited to:
Modeling the tax ramifications of mergers and acquisitions will also be required, along with the guidance of tax compliance personnel on the best methods for state return preparation
Reviewing of state tax returns prepared by the domestic compliance group
Familiarization with all aspects regarding the data collection and preparation of the New York State and City tax returns as well as other state filings for entities in the consumer lending business
Preparing of various unitary tax returns
Reviewing of apportionment methodologies and data collection
Tax analysis, planning and analytics
State Tax audit support
Validation of tax software output
Special projects as they arise
Required Skills
5+ years of domestic corporate tax experience
BBA in Accounting
Significant state tax compliance preparation & review experience
Experience with Tax - State & Local; Research & Planning; Corporate; Compliance
Familiar with FAS 109
Strong tax systems knowledge
Desired Skills
Financial services industry experience
CPA and/or MST
