This company is a city based specialist firm of consultants providing financial modelling expertise and related Project Finance advisory services to financial institutions involved in major projects and structured financings, including Public Private Partnerships. You are offered the opportunity to join this exciting team and build on your existing skills with a company that put recognition and reward at the top of their agenda.

Key skills:

* First rate current accounting knowledge.
* A recognised accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA) with an interest in learning more about the taxation issues applying to Project Finance deals.

Job Specification:

* Reviewing financial models prepared by other firms to ensure compliance with UK GAAP or IFRS, UK tax legislation and current HM Revenue and Customs practices.

* Reviewing financial models prepared by other firms to ensure compliance with the relevant overseas GAAP and overseas tax legislation either by commissioning advice from an overseas specialist, or reviewing advice already procured by the client against the modelled assumptions.

* Working with expert financial modellers to ensure that they understand and accurately apply the correct accounting and taxation principles to calculations.

* Providing detailed and relevant accounting and taxation advice on calculations across a wide variety of financial models used to represent commercial transactions.

* Liaising with in-house and external Project Finance advisers to create appropriate investment structures that are tax efficient and meet the motives of the funding parties involved.

Ideal but not essential:

* Experience of providing financial advice to clients in either a corporate or public body context.

* Experience of VAT, indirect taxes and property tax issues
