Our client is an international listed group that provides services and products to millions of customers across the globe. With a diverse range of business units you will be working with the Tax Manager as part of the greater finance team. This role is a exceptional opportunity to take a first step out of a chartered environment and work across Australian and New Zealand operations.
This role will pay $50-$60 per hour (including superannuation) with an intention for the contractor to become a permanent employee at the end of the 9 month contract.
Role Responsibilities
With a strong focus on tax compliance, the role will include:
- detailed review of income tax compliance for the tax consolidated group and indirect tax compliance (GST & FBT) for the Australian and New Zealand operations.
- assist the Tax Manager to project manage the tax compliance process
- timely reporting of issues to the Tax Manager
- Tax Effect Accounting calculations in accordance with AASB 112 and US GAAP
- liaising with various business units
- ad hoc advice to clients when required.
Qualifications
You will have at least 4-5 years experience with a mid-tier or Big 4 accounting practice, with a broad exposure to taxation. You will be CA/CPA qualified and any experience using Powertax and Hyperion will be received.
