Knowledge Centre
The European Knowledge Group is part of theKnowledge Centre. The European Knowledge Group is responsible for the contents of the various publications and client information and research requests on tax and investment matters in Europe.
Tasks and responsibilities
You will be engaged as a country specialist for a number of Scandinavian countries: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland and the Faeroe Islands.
Publications
Responsible for monitoring and reporting on tax, investment and company law and social security developments in Scandinavia and potentially other jurisdictions and supervising correspondents reporting on these items;
Writing Tax News Service (TNS) reports, articles, surveys and updates on the countries concerned for various IBFD publications;
Editorial responsibilities with respect to IBFD publications dealing with Scandinavia, as well as any other IBFD publications as necessary.
Other Research Activities
Provide information to clients on the country(ies) concerned;
Participate in research projects of IBFD.
Other Activities
Occasional support to and teaching for the International Tax Academy (ITA);
Occasional support to the Government Consultancy Department (GCD);
Occasional support to the Academic Activities of IBFD;
Translate tax treaties into English where necessary;
Maintain and expand the correspondents network in the region;
Source treaties, laws, regulations and other pertinent information.
Profile
Knowledge and experience
A university degree in law, accountancy or related areas (preferably an LL M or other post-graduate degree in taxation);
At least 2 years (3-5 for a Senior) of professional experience with a tax/accounting firm, a governmental
agency or an international organization dealing with international tax;
Knowledge of and experience with Scandinavian tax and investment regimes and in-depth knowledge of
one of the Scandinavian tax systems (preferably Sweden or Denmark).
Skills
Fluent in both spoken and written English and one or more Scandinavian language(s) (preferably Swedish or Danish);
Excellent writing and editorial skills.

Salary and fringe benefits
Salary will depend on relevant work experience and background. We offer a salary up to a maximum of 56,124 gross per annum for a Research Associate level based on a full-time position (36 hours per week);
An additional 8% of the annual salary is considered holiday pay and paid out in May;
