Our client is a Big 4 firm and they are looking to recruit a senior tax manager for a role that has clear promotion prospects – directorship in the medium term for the right individual. In this role you will deal with a client base of HNW individuals many of whom are entrepreneurs or owner managers or from wealthy families with related trusts. These are extremely wealthy individuals with very complex and interesting tax affairs. This role has a strong bias towards advisory work though some complex compliance may be involved.
Ideally you will have experience of both income and capital taxes planning. It is likely that you will be CTA qualified (though ICAS, ACA, STEP etc also considered) and that you will already have experience of managing HNW clients. Experience of trusts is an advantage but not a pre-requisite. This is a personal tax role but broader experience of areas like OMB planning or private equity issues would also be advantageous. As well as technical work, you will assist the partners with marketing and business development - growing your contact list of work referrers such as lawyers, bankers and IFA's. You will also be involved in managing and developing tax staff.
You may currently work in a law firm or Top 20 firm and be looking for the opportunity to work in a Big 4 firm or you may be relocating or looking for promotion.
