looking to add a Risk and Regulatory Services Manager to our team in Halifax or
Saint John.

Our Risk and Regulatory Services (RRS) practice, a specialty advisory practice
within the Advisory Group, provides comprehensive risk services through a suite
of strategic, outsourcing, and industry-focused operational services to
clients. These services help companies around the world evaluate and enhance
their internal audit and risk management functions including internal audit, as
well as their key business processes. The RRG seeks a consummate team player
with a strong work ethic and excellent professional skills for the role of RRS
Manager. This professional will plan, lead and perform internal audit
procedures as a member of the internal audit management team and in accordance
with the clients audit plan, risk management strategy and PwC's internal audit
methodologies.
Responsibilities
Work with high growth clients and other market leaders in industries such as
retail, consumer products financial services, insurance and health sciences.
Establish audit objectives and scope of work; establish the engagement budget;
and take responsibility for the overall execution of the audit project through
wrap-up and final report delivery. Maintain a strong client focus by
effectively serving client needs and developing productive working
relationships with client personnel. Stay abreast with current business and
economic developments and new pronouncements/standards relevant to the client's
business. Display teamwork, integrity and leadership. Work with team members
to set goals and responsibilities for specific engagements. Foster teamwork
and innovation. Utilize technology and tools to continually learn and
innovate, share knowledge with the team members and enhance service delivery.
Understand PwC and its service lines. Actively encourage team members to
contribute ideas and identify potential opportunities to apply PwC's services.
Qualifications
To qualify, candidates must have:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field;
A minimum of 5 years of related audit or applicable business experience and 2
or more years of public accounting experience;
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience would be acceptable for those
holding a relevant graduate degree
CPA/CA, CIA, CFE, CMA, or P.Eng. certification desired or in the process of
gaining designation; non-certified hires are required to become certified
within 1 year from the date of hire; based on an individual's professional
background, area of expertise, or industry focus, we recognize that other
certifications, credentials, or experience may be more relevant than the listed
certifications;
Proficient in MS Office is required;
Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills;
Demonstrated consistency in values, principles, and work ethic;
Strong skills in project management and engagement management;
Experience and interest in recruiting and professional development of staff
reporting to you.
Candidates must be available to travel within and outside of Canada, and work
in excess of standard hours when necessary.
