Job Description
The Revenue Staff Accountant:
Performs Invoicing and Credit Memo duties for all Non-Market Research Product Lines/Business Units
Reviews sales contracts to understand all billing provisions and ensure proper order entry
Ensures Best Estimate of Selling Price (BESP) under EITF 08-1 is properly allocated to all order deliverables and sales tax is properly calculated based on product taxability rules
Works closely with accounting and other various departments (i.e. Sales, Client Services, Sales Ops) to resolve outstanding billing issues
Manages Fulfillment Events / Revenue recognition for assigned Product Lines/Business Units
Ensures revenue deferrals are recorded properly, and the recognition of Revenue occurs in the proper periods
Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Ability to understand and effectively apply technical accounting guidance for Revenue Recognition as it relates to Services and License arrangements
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible to change
Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects and tasks
