With a rich history, this global oil & gas services organisation currently employs over 4000 people in 50 countries. Following a period of steady growth there is a need to recruit a commercially focused Regional Tax Manager for Europe and Africa.
With a split reporting line into the Group Head of Tax and Regional CFO, you will be part of the Group Tax Team based at the global head quarters in the UK. Ideally suited to an experienced Manager or Assistant Manager looking to step up, there is scope to develop in this role. Principally, you will take command of regional tax compliance risks for Europe and Africa with further responsibility for tax planning initiatives and project work.
About the role:
Oversight of the outsourced direct tax compliance for each country in both regions
Completion of annual tax provisions for public reporting purposes both consolidated and for individual entity stats
Completion of annual budget and quarterly forecast for tax for management reporting purposes
Work with Regional Management and the Group Tax Department on identifying and implementing tax saving initiatives in the regions
Advising regional sales teams on the tax structuring of regional contracts
Advising on the appropriate tax structuring for operational activity in new countries
Structuring work will include, permanent establishment risks, branch vs subsidiary analysis, tax treaty / holding company analysis for tax-efficient financing and profit repatriation and transfer pricing
Oversight of the other taxes paid in the regions including indirect taxes, payroll taxes and taxes levied on the remuneration and benefits of expatriate workers, workers on rotation and temporary business visitors.
About you:
ACA qualified or equivalent
Tax trained with a solid grasp of corporate tax compliance processes
Experience of managing international tax planning projects preferred but not essential.
