PRIVATE CLIENT TAX MANAGER JOB WORKING FOR ONE OF THE AREA'S LEADING FIRMS OF SOLICITORS
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established private client team on the South Coast.
Main duties will include:
Manages Personal Tax compliance function
Manages Trust Tax and accounts compliance function
Deals with tax returns for attorneyships and deputyships originating from the Court of Protection team
Deals with estate administration period tax
Deals with personal tax for deceased clients up to date of death
Provides CGT projections and some advice on BPR and APR for Property department
Meets all Revenue and other deadlines
Deals with all related client correspondence and meetings
Deals with Revenue correspondence
Management of Personal Tax and other tax software
During quieter periods provides assistance with estate accounts and with IHT accounts for trusts.
Assists in developing the tax service through establishing a strong reputation, through building relationships with referrers and through networking and PR activity such as seminars, article writing and cross referral activities etc.
The ideal person:
Qualified by experience, and qualified to ATT level at least, in carrying out personal income, capital gains tax and trust compliance and in advising clients and dealing with the Revenue. Has knowledge of BPR and APR and ideally PAYE
Must have excellent client handling skills and attention to detail.
Must have excellent IT skills particularly in Excel and tax software.
Must have the ability and willingness to help build up the service as part of the growth plans for Private Client
Must be willing to use own car on firm's business (for which a mileage allowance will be paid) and to work from any of the firm's offices as required
