The Private Client team at this Big 4 advises high net worth individuals who are active in many business related areas - principals from private equity and hedge funds; senior executives; entrepreneurs; partners in professional partnerships; sportsmen and entertainers. Many of the individuals are non UK domiciled and require advice across various jurisdictions. The work is heavily advisory based.
They seek a manager to join the team in Bristol. There are currently three people in the Bristol team and they are expanding rapidly. There are approximately 80 team members in Private Client nationally.
Candidates will have good academic and professional qualifications. They will be used to researching complex technical issues; able to express themselves concisely and clearly both verbally and in writing; and willing to tackle a new topic. They should be good team players and must have strong personal skills as these are heavily client-facing roles.
Your client responsibilities
Build and maintain tax relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service
Win work by proactively managing existing clients and contribute to winning new clients.
Manage the successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and practical/business driven approach taken
Contribute to successfully extracting maximum value for both firm and clients from the tax services delivered whilst managing risk appropriately for both client and the firm
Your people responsibilities

Ensure delivery of quality work and take day to day leadership of delivery team
Good delegation skills
Interest in business development
Skills and Experience
Experienced tax practitioner with exceptional technical skills and expertise in functional area
In particular, experience in advising shareholders on transactions and entrepreneurs' relief would be ideal
Client driven and strategically and commercially aware
Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral.
Enthusiastic and flexible attitude to work
CTA (or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA).
ACA/ACCA/CA or Tax Inspectors with full Technical Training course; or Law qualification would also be considered.
