Thanks to a significant number of business wins and recent success of this at this Big 4 Firm, a Private Client Senior Manger is sought to continue to develop new clients and strategies to gain greater revenue from the existing client base. You will enjoy the responsibility of the more complicated clients and the supply of high level advice, including non-domicile and residence issues, and the use of UK and offshore trusts. With almost unlimited resources at your disposal, you will broaden your expertise and rise to your full potential.

The Role
• Providing high level advice on all personal tax issues including UK and offshore trusts and share options and incentives.
• Participate in bringing new offerings to the market helping to develop new areas and ensuring a good flow of work to the group as a whole.
• Overall responsibility for a portfolio of intricate and diverse clients. These will be varied in nature including entrepreneurs, company directors, sportsmen, entertainers, shareholders of owner-managed businesses large estates.
Responsibilities
• Managing a portfolio of clients, including acting as the main point of contact for the client and liaising with other advisors;
• Responsibility for the implementation of tax planning strategies for private clients;
• Take ideas to existing clients, targets and contacts, gain their confidence and successfully manage relationships;
• Generate significant fee income on their own initiative;
• Promote the work and profile of the dept internally and externally

• Strong client handling skills and the ability to develop good relationships with clients and other professionals
• Interest in business development and in the promotion of the department both internally and externally with a view to generating work
• Actively interested in progressing your career
• Good delegation and management skills. Delegate effectively, review work and have the ability to encourage and foster the development of members of the department
• Committed to driving forward the growth of the practice.

Technical skills
You should possess the range and depth of technical skills associated with a top quality private client adviser.
In particular:
• Strong experience in the traditional areas of private client advice including: Inheritance tax and capital gains tax, including international aspects such as residence and domicile
• The taxation of trusts, including offshore trusts and the provisions of Section 739 TA 1988
• As a minimum, familiarity with other areas such as the taxation of share options, the use of employee benefit trusts, investment wrappers.
Be fully conversant with current tax issues and planning ideas (particularly with reference to non-domicile and residence issues, and the use of UK and offshore trusts) and conversant with relevant legislation, case law etc. Be capable to identifying potential problems and providing solutions.
