As a trust administrator, you will provide accounting and tax services to one of the Family Office clients.
The job involves the preparation of a large number of trust accounts from primary records using Excel spreadsheet models. In addition, as well as analysing transactions from source records, preparing trial balances, accruals, prepayments and drafting trust accounts, the job entails preparing accounts tax provisions.
The role will involve preparing capital gains tax figures from primary records, again using spreadsheet models.
You will also be responsible for monitoring entries on Trust tax returns in readiness for submission to the Inland Revenue.
Ad hoc financial modelling tasks may be assigned from time to time.
Tight deadlines will apply and a willingness to work overtime when required is desirable to accommodate this.
Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience
Basic book-keeping and accounting skills
High level of Excel skills including ability to analyse figures in electronic worksheets
Knowledge of trust accounting
Knowledge of basic trust taxation
Awareness of inheritance tax principles
