| Description: | This strong Essex independent practice is looking to recruit a confident and able Personal Tax Senior to join their specialist tax division.
The successful applicant would be responsible for all day to day aspects of the compliance function within the client portfolio under their control, assisting the partners and managers working as a member of a team to provide taxation services to a varied portfolio of clients.
Duties will include the preparation and review of tax returns; initiation of tax payment advice, ensuring claims and elections are made on a timely basis, to assist in the provision of planning and advisory work for clients, to ensure that work deadlines are met; to delegate work to more junior members of staff as appropriate; to provide direction and support to more junior members of staff; to build and maintain good working relationships with clients; to assist in the production of technical material and/or marketing initiative such as writing articles, writing fact sheets as required; to ensure own compliance with CPD requirements; to prepare and present and/or to assist in the preparation of internal presentations and training courses if required.
The ideal applicant will have worked in a similar role for a minimum of 12 months and will be ATT/CTA qualified or actively studying. This is an excellent role to manage an impressive portfolio of clients and progress within a leading local firm.
