This leading organisation has an exciting opportunity available within its finance division for a Tax Accountant.

The role will have day-to-day involvement in all applicable taxes, direct and indirect, compliance and advisory, on an International basis.

Reporting to the Tax Manager, the individual will play a key role in tax compliance on an International basis.

Responsibilities:

* Together with the Tax Manager, you will provide a one-stop technical and commercially responsive tax / VAT advice and support service to the business.

* Preparation and submission of quarterly UK VAT returns, ensuring maximum recoveries are made under the current partial exemption regime.

* Assisting in preparation and submission of corporation tax returns, in both UK and USA.

* Supervising information gathered to ensure that all P11D & PSA requirements are met.

* Assisting the Tax Manager in providing tax support and advice to operating departments involved in company-wide projects.

* Ad hoc project work as required by Tax Manager.

Areas of experience that will stand you in good stead:

* Experience of dealing with VAT issues in the Financial Services Sector

* Qualified Accountant - with ACA/ACCA and/or CTA or equivalent.

Good technical knowledge of each of the main taxes (direct and indirect), although you will be offered training any new areas.
