Effective knowledge management is fundamental to the success of the Corporate Tax practice and is a key area of focus in the business plan of this organisation. The role is for an ACA/CTA (or equivalent) qualified individual with corporate tax experience, preferably including a significant amount of corporate tax compliance, and strong technical skills. The firm believes in a work to lifestyle balance and is happy to consider anyone looking for greater flexibility on hours.
1 Tax Knowledge Data Base - Tax Bank
Review and management of items submitted to and due for expiry from Tax Bank. Main area of responsibility will be compliance items but, as part of the wider corporate tax knowledge management team, will assist with other corporate tax areas from time to time as necessary.
2 Tax & People Services Online
Maintenance of the compliance pages which will include keeping items up to date, adding links to new items, etc.
Posting news stories of particular relevance to CTC.
Assisting with any projects initiated by the Business Information Group or marketing team.
3 CTC Think Tank Secretary/Coordinator
Maintenance and monitoring of the membership list.
Identifying information sources and issues (e.g. tax technical matters, HMRC policy and practice developments etc) to be considered by the think tank.
Assist in preparation of draft technical papers as identified by the think tank.
4Ownership of compliance newsletter Production and distribution of newsletters on a timely basis, ensuring content can be understood by those working in CTC at all levels.
