The private client team of this company provides international tax planning and advice to individuals and their companies on domestic residence and domicile rules in the UK and other European countries. With 30 years of personal experience in managing trusts, pensions and companies, the team enjoys rewarding and interesting work and a quality lifestyle offered by the culture and natural history of Gibraltar.

The company is one of the largest independent trust, pension and company managers in Gibraltar and highly respected by many of the leading investment managers, banks and IFAs. Delivering a quality of service and relationship management, a lot of their work comes from referrals.

The work is varying, but in essence will include the following:
• Domestic residence and domicile rules in the UK and other European countries.
• Tax and estate planning for High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) through the use of trusts, life insurance wrappers, companies and other legal forms.
• The uses of offshore finance centres in international structuring.
• UK anti-avoidance legislation, with a working knowledge of other countries’ anti-avoidance measures (i.e. fiscal transparency, controlled foreign company provisions, management and control, permanent establishments, transfer pricing etc.).
• Staff incentive arrangements (e.g. EBTs and share option schemes) and pension schemes.
• Double Tax Treaties especially entitlement to treaty benefits, residence and the tie-breaker article, business profits and capital gains articles etc.
• Structuring cross-border transactions in immovable property.
