A growing FTSE100 business is seeking an experienced international tax expert to join them in a purely advisory capacity. This role will be responsible for advising on their expansion plans into new jurisdictions, as well as advising on issues in pre-existing jurisdictions. You will play a pivotal role within the company going forward as it becomes a more and more prominent name on the market.
The Role
- Advise on the group's activities in Europe, S. America and Asia.
- Lead advisory capacity to the group's development activity into new jurisdictions.
- Support the business in the negotiation of terms with Government, engagement with senior Revenue and Ministry of Finance Officials on both policy and operational matters
- Liaison with other teams regarding the taxation of subcontractors and a role in hiring and mentoring in-country tax staff.
- Work with the Head of Tax and the team in developing the group's tax strategy, and implementing that tax strategy in the context of a formal risk management approach.
- Identifying, developing and implementing corporate projects including structuring overseas farm out transactions, intra group capital structuring and development of strategies for tax efficient hedging.
- Ad hoc advice on corporate M&A transactions.
- Management of outsourced compliance activities.
- The development of tax reporting to the CFO.
Qualifications/Experience required
- Extensive experience of International corporate tax, advising large multinationals on a range of international issues
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive self-starter
