This is the first recruit outside of its US headquarters and you will have a chance to hire further regional staff to support you in the months and years ahead. The responsibilities of the role will see you involved in global tax planning, M&A, transfer pricing and handling tax audits. In year one, the first major project is to take responsibility for all non-US tax reporting and accounting. Once under control the position will focus on optimising the ETR and identifying tax planning opportunities.
To be successful in this role you will need to have strong experience in mergers & acquisitions as well as US GAAP tax accounting for oversight of all non-US tax provisions. Even though accounting will ultimately be a relatively small part of the job, it is an important element to sort out first. Thereafter, you will build on your international tax skills in tax planning, handling tax audits and providing advice to the business and on transactions, globally.
