My client is a big four firm situated in the Caribbean. They seek an experienced Tax Manager to join an expanding team.

The island is a tax-free domicile; however their clients are offshore companies, operating around the world. They look at a client’s tax position with an eye towards broader business objectives, and work closely with clients to understand the organization’s global goals and strategies and how industry and economic trends affect their business. They provide a wide range of tax planning and compliance assistance to hedge funds, captive insurance companies and individuals. They also develop tax strategies that work and help streamline compliance processes.

You will be responsible for providing tax compliance and consulting services for a range of investment, hedge fund and insurance companies and act as a reviewer of your team member’s work. Acting as a trusted business advisor, you will build strong client relationships by providing valued tax advice. As a tax manager, you have responsibility for the development and motivation of team members and provide them with leadership, counseling and career guidance.

Experience required:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Business/Commerce or Economics.
Internationally recognized accounting qualification.
At least 4 to six 6 years of U.S. tax experience; prior Big 4 experience an asset.
Preference will be given to candidates with hedge fund and partnership tax returns experience.
Strong commitment to client service.
Excellent communication skills and proven ability to interact with clients and staff of various levels.
Effective time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
