With over 1,500 employees working in over 30 countries handling every element involved in the sourcing of crude oil, petroleum products, metals, metal ores and concentrates, forecasts suggest excellent growth going forward.
With the Head of Tax based in the Europe and the Head of Indirect Tax in Switzerland, this is a key hire within the London finance group.
The Role:
* Provide indirect tax advice to staff, taking responsibility for liaison with authorities and the management of VAT audits.
* Reporting to the Head of Indirect Tax but working closely with the global business units and the 50 strong finance function in London, you will be required to ensure that all transactions are appropriately treated for VAT purposes.
The Person:
The successful candidate will need to have an accounting background with strong technical international VAT knowledge gained in a Big 4 Firm or within a multinational firm. You will need to be confident with providing VAT advice on large transactions and be able to train end-users on relevant indirect tax issues.
* Experience gained in a trading environment would be preferable.
