This multinational FTSE 250 group seeks an Indirect Tax Manager to join their team in Basingstoke. You will be responsible for all indirect tax issues across the UK and internationally. This is a newly created role that will offer considerable opportunity to project manage functional teams and planning work.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Management of indirect taxes in relation to the froup's UK businesses, ensuring that the compliance requirements are satisfied by each business and seeking opportunities for efficiences in the processes;
- Review of the indirect tax arrangements in the group's main non-UK businesses;
- Management of indirect tax projects covering a variety of issues such as customs warehousing, inward processing relief and Authorised Economic Operator certification, as well as spotting other planning opportunities;
- Advising the group's businesses on the indirect tax implications of new international contracts and business proposals.
Ideally you will possess an accounting or indirect tax qualification, however practical experience is more important than this. You must be enthusiastic and self-motivated with strong communication skills. You will need to develop and maintain relationships with key senior professionals in the business and will need the strength of character to persuade and challenge others as appropriate.
