We are looking for a proactive individual to join the UK and European VAT team in this high profile financial services group. The candidate would be required to have a good understanding of UK VAT as knowledge of other European VAT systems. The candidate would provide technical support for UK and European VAT queries in relation to issues in Business Unit and Corporate issues. Support would also be required in relation to reviewing UK and European compliance.
Job role to include
- Providing indirect tax support to the Commodities desk and other areas as required
- Advising on the indirect tax treatment of new products and new office set ups
- Review of UK and European VAT returns
- Liaising with business units/controllers to ensure correct information has been received for the returns, and working with them to resolve issues
Skills / Experience
- VAT/GST background
- Likely to have 2-3 years experience & ATT qualification (qualified or studying for CTA)
