You are an experienced corporate tax specialist, working in the Big 4 or perhaps in a commercial role already. You do not feel that your job offers you the same challenges or the same opportunities that it once did. What now?
This company is a major international offshore and onshore drilling contractor as well as a world leader in drilling rig design, construction and operation. With operations in the North Sea, Europe, Russia, the Middle East, Caspian Region, North and West Africa, and Asia, they can offer you a number of exciting prospects including variety and career prospects beyond the scope of most in-house tax teams.
Due to expansion, the group are looking for a successful candidate who will be responsible for supporting the Group Tax Manager with the daily reporting and management of taxes for the UK Group.
This will include:
• Supporting the international business
• Working with the internal stakeholders
• Ensuring global taxation compliance across the Group.
Among the interesting and varied projects and initiatives that you will be able to manage, you can look forward to:
• Preparation and management of Group tax reports and effective tax rate.
• Preparation and management of Group forecast effective tax rates.
• Co-ordination, preparation and filing of UK corporation tax returns, including quarterly tax payments.
• Assist Group Tax Manager with ad-hoc tax issues.
• Monitoring of transfer pricing policies.
• Working and liaising closely with all finance teams and other support functions, such as Operations, Commercial, etc
• Develop effective external relationships with other business units, external advisors and Tax authorities.
