This international company is looking for a CTA/ICAS/ACA qualified corporate tax specialist to undertake a 6 month tax manager contract role. This position has arisen as the current role holder is going on maternity leave. Your key responsibilities will be as follows:
• Assisting the Head of Tax with tax planning, restructuring, M&A activities and implementation of the Group Tax Strategy.
• Undertaking the corporate tax compliance for the UK companies and their branches including the completion and filing of the UK corporate tax computations.
• Ensuring the corporate tax compliance for the US is undertaken including managing the completion of the US federal tax return.
• Liaising with the Tax Authorities and external advisers and dealing with queries and issues that arise.
• Providing corporate tax advice and assistance to the Business Units.
• Advising and making recommendations on transfer pricing issues within the Group including maintaining transfer pricing documentation.
• Forecasting the tax aspects of US GAAP financial reporting at each quarter end and for budget purposes.
• The preparation of detailed audit workings at the calendar year end.
You should have good accounting knowledge and an awareness of US GAAP and international tax issues would be advantageous.
