This FTSE 250 Engineering Consultancy, with a turnover of circa £1bn, has an exciting opportunity for a Group Tax Manager to join the tax department on a long term contract basis.
In this pivotal role, your responsibilities will encompass the following:
- Managing a team of tax professionals split across two locations
- Overseeing the complete tax compliance cycle
- Provision of tax advice on ad hoc projects, incorporating impact on Group structure and management of group transfer pricing.
- Managing the tax aspects of group acquisitions and disposals (domestic and international) particularly with regards to required due diligence work and impact on group structure.
- Assisting with improvements to the “Tax Management System”
Suitable candidates will have a tax / accounting qualification with substantial corporate tax experience and the ability to deal with a large group of companies. International compliance and advisory experience will also be advantageous.
You will be an effective communicator, be able to prioritise and juggle workload efficiently and will be able to drive strategic change effectively and methodically.
