Group Tax & Treasury Manager
West Midlands - Cannock - Staffordshire
This is a newly created role setting up the In House Tax Function for Finning. As Group Tax & Treasury Manager you will be reporting to the UK Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for the production and submission of all tax returns and be the first point of contact in all tax planning initiatives. You will have total responsibility for the Treasury function and be expected to effectively manage cash.
Key Responsibilities:
TAX
ï Responsible for all tax compliance matters including review and preparation of all tax returns/computations relating to VAT and Corporation tax.
ï Responsible for maintaining a good working relationship with HMRC.
ï Responsible for Group tax planning, to help minimise the Group's overall tax burden.
ï Responsible for managing all taxation queries and to ensure responses are provided on a timely basis.
ï Support of both Finning International and local management on tax issues.
TREASURY - Previous experience is not required however you will be responsible for:
ï Managing day to day relationship with banking facilities providers.
ï Managing day to day relationship with Treasury department in Finning International.
ï Prepare all Treasury reports.
ï Re-engineer and restructure the banking facilities to reduce the overall number of bankers and reduce the overall cost of banking fallibilities to the Group.
ï Work closely with Commercial Managers, Financial Controller and Operations to understand the cash requirements of the business.
ï Manage the Cashiers function.
Who we're looking for
This is a ideal role for someone looking for their first move into in house tax or someone looking to develop their commercial skills. You should have a proven track record in corporate tax coupled with a professional accounting qualification( ACA / ACCA / CTA ). You should have strong interpersonal skills and be experienced in communicating with internal and external contacts. You should also have a proactive attitude and have the ability to work well under pressure.
