An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced German Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join this global investment bank in Frankfurt. The successful candidate will take responsibility for all tax matters regarding the entities managed by the Finance division in Frankfurt. Reporting to Frankfurt CFO and to the Tax department in the global headquarters, the role will be primarily German tax related. However it is expected the oversight of tax affairs in other countries will be added to the role responsibilities e.g. for Switzerland and the Netherlands.
The role handles all the German tax planning, transfer pricing, tax reporting & accounting (IFRS), management of tax audits etc. Therefore this role requires a German Tax Advisor with strong accounting skills to be able to handle the tax reporting & tax accounting. The ability to stay one step ahead of the advisors is important and so this role would suit someone who has the intellectual and critical faculties to challenge advisors. Communication skills are imperative (fluency in English) while Front Office tax experience would be an advantage but not essential.
