The role:
This role will provide support to the Brazilian brand on every aspect of commercial financial decision-making and will also act as the liaison point between the Brazilian brand and the International Group Finance Function on other finance and strategy related matters
Key tasks:
• Supporting other senior managers within the Brazilian business on commercial finance decision making including contract negotiations and from time to time setting of bonus targets for sales teams
• Preparing incisive, concise and timely board packs summarising all aspects of monthly performance down to net profit level and where relevant brand specific overheads. These board packs are to PLC group level standard.
• Understanding of current Market positions and identifying competitiveness risk and opportunities.
• Liaising with Senior Management and provide commercial analysis on Departmental strategies, ensuring targets are in alignment with the overall business strategy.
• Provide detailed commercial analysis of our key source and destination markets, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Provide detailed commercial analysis of our localisation & product strategies
• Understanding and presenting insightful analysis on all aspects of daily and weekly trading in the form of daily and weekly KPI reporting to be circulated to key stakeholders in a concise and effective format.
• Providing timely assumptions and analysis to the UK Divisional finance teams so that the current year forecast, budget and Five Year Plan can be developed and presented in a timely and efficient manner
• Liaising with Senior Management and where relevant external suppliers to develop a detailed understanding of distribution costs and providing sound commercial finance support to the local MD in managing the distribution strategy

Brazil financial reporting & controls:
Brazil Financial Control is broken down into Financial Reporting & Controls and Finance Projects
Financial Reporting & Controls:
Oversee all financial reporting and control for our Brazilian entities, which is managed by the “Financial Controller for Brazil”. This includes: statutory & management reporting, taxation, payroll, and treasury. This is closely coordinated with the UK Divisional Teams.
Finance Projects
Reporting into this role is the Head of Finance Projects, responsible for feasibility reviews, the delivery and implementation of various strategies relating to the Brazilian brand and operations.
The Person:
You will possess the following key characteristics
• Extensive experience of preparing concise and incisive commercial finance board packs suitable for presentation to Group PLC board level
• Outstanding analytical skills and commercial acumen
• Strong team player with performance management skill set capable of motivating and leading a senior team with different backgrounds and roles
• Preferred) experience of working with a company with online trading and an understanding of analytical tools to measure web performance.
• Proven relevant experience of managing the monthly reporting process in a highly demanding PLC environment (experience within the FMCG sector is desirable but not essential)
• Experience of implementing process change and control
• Strong understanding of financial control within an international organization
• Previous exposure to transfer pricing and international tax

Qualifications:
• ACA/ACCA qualified in Brazil (equivalent to CRC qualification in brazil - preferably from an audit and industry background)
• Minimum 10+ year’s PQE
• Exceptional Academics
