As a unique centre of excellence within Deloitte, the European Compliance Centre is a team of Tax specialists (VAT and Corporate tax), Accountants and other professionals (IT, engineers, etc.) providing companies (more than 100 global organisations) with a wide range of outsourcing support and related advice, on a pan-European basis (all EU plus some non-EU countries directly covered by our Centre), regarding Tax reporting and Statutory Accounting. This includes Pan-EU VAT and corporate tax reporting, drafting of statutory books, reconciliation exercises, optimization of commercial transactions, advice and assistance regarding audits, compliance processes, procedures, and many more.
Our clients are multinationals (all economic sectors and regions of the world), partnering with our Centre to handle their needs applying a shared service centre approach.
Function
You will be part of the European compliance centre, assisting multinational organizations with their Pan-European VAT reporting needs.
Your basis will be our Brussels (Diegem) office.
You will assist with our clients VAT administration (preparation of VAT returns), also helping shared service centres with the setup of their tax obligations on a pan European basis.
You will assist our clients with audits on a pan European basis and also provide them with assistance and compliance related advisory services.
Profile
You have a bachelor degree accountancy or accountancy-tax, or a masters in economics or law. Our multidimensional team is indeed composed of a wide variety of skills and many nationalities.
You have 3-5 years experience in accountancy, audit and/or tax, in another big four firm, large, medium-sized organizations, accounting firm and/or a shared service centre.
You are able to communicate fluently in English. Dutch and French are important but not essential, while additional language skills (German, Swedish, Danish or East-European languages) are an asset
You have a great sense of accuracy, being result and team oriented, enthusiastic and flexible.
You have a good knowledge of MS Office (certainly Excel, all other accounting software/tools, SAP or Oracle skills being a plus).
