Our client, a major European multinational, has an opportunity for an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager, to take on a key position in its regional headquarters in Rotterdam.
This is an opportunity to be part of the global tax department of one of Europe’s largest & most successful companies. The main task is to take the lead in the financial reporting (IFRS) and tax direct tax compliance for around 17 countries in Europe. The successful candidate will manage relationships with key fiscal authorities and become directly involved in tax audits, when required.
In addition to the reporting & direct tax compliance responsibilities, there will be plenty of opportunities to become involved in other areas of tax management, in particular managing operational tax issues and setting tax strategy in countries that do not have dedicated tax managers. It is hoped that the successful candidate will have the potential to take on many more positions within the business in the future, including, potentially, the Regional Head of Tax position in Rotterdam.
To be eligible for this role, you will need a proven track record in IFRS tax reporting, as this is the entry point into the tax department, in this instance. Ideally you will also have Dutch GAAP & Dutch tax compliance experience, if you are already domiciled in The Netherlands. However, we are also interested in speaking to non-Dutch professionals that have in-depth IFRS tax reporting experience and are willing to relocate to Rotterdam.
