This is a Greenfield role working for a market leading business services group. The individual will develop the function from the start, as the position is open due to the sale of the group to a US private equity house. The individual will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of all tax related matters, while working closely with the finance functions in 10 European countries as well as with external advisors and tax authorities.

* Ensuring tax is managed effectively and in line with corporate policy/procedure within each country in the European region
* Deploying tax function resources directly and through colleagues to ensure consistency of approach, maintenance of controls and standards, and effective delivery
* Legal entity structure and capital repatriation planning
* Indirect tax strategy and planning
* Business/customer contract support
* M&A activity
* Controllership - Tax accounting and reporting, internal controls and risk
* Direct tax compliance (outsourced) - process ownership
* Indirect tax compliance - regionalisation
* Tax audit management and support
* Transfer pricing and intercompany documentation
* Employee tax oversight
* Managing relationship with tax advisers and tax authorities
