The main focus is international tax with transfer pricing being a major issue at the moment. This is a growing company in a fast-moving and evolving industry and so tax planning will be an important consideration with regards to expansion into new markets. There will be plenty of M&A work to get on with in the foreseeable future and so a familiarity with transaction tax would be an advantage.
To fulfil this demanding & rewarding position, it expected that somewhere in the region of 8 years of corporate / international tax experience will be necessary, ideally gained from within a Big 4 firm or the tax department of a multinational company. Strong tax accounting experience is essential and the ability to convey complex tax issues to non-tax staff is just as important.
