Major high tech manufacturing group, requires a VAT specialist to work as part of a team, managing VAT issues for the EMEA region. The role is initially compliance based, with responsibilities covering monthly and quarterly returns, 8th directive VAT reclaims and reconciliations.
Additionally the role requires ongoing systems analysis, identifying weaknesses in the current processes and implementing solutions for improvement. There is also the opportunity for VAT planning in line with tax planning as a whole and specific consultancy work related to issues within business units across the group.
The role requires a specialist with experience of working on multinationals on a European basis and as such the role represents a good first move into commerce for a specialist from C&E or firm of accountants.
