World-renowned premium goods manufacturer in Surrey is looking for a Customs specialist to join the tax department reporting to the Head of UK Tax.

You will take responsibility for UK indirect tax matters, focusing primarily on customs and duty with some involvement in VAT. You will supervise the work of the Customs Manager and have overall responsibility for the submission of VAT and Customs returns and implement reporting procedures within the business from an indirect tax perspective.

There will be a high level of ad hoc advisory input on mainly UK cross-border matters. The role requires a high level personal interaction wide a wide range of internal and external contacts, so communications skills are as important as the relevant technical knowledge in the Customs field.
