Job Description
The Credit Tax Vice President is responsible for the overall tax management of the firm's overseas funds. Other responsibilities include:
Ensuring timely and accurate tax filings as well as reporting to investors
Understanding fund and investment level tax structuring and ensure proper tax reporting
Assisting in tax planning and restructuring of investments
Responding to investor, management and tax authority queries and requests
Collaborating and coordinating with Fortress Accounting, Legal, Investor Relations and Technology Teams
Reviewing tax work papers from outside accountants
Reviewing Joint Venture and SPV filings including Corporate Blockers and REITs
Coordinating and/or reviewing tax estimates and projections as well as quarterly withholding and corporate estimate payments
Reviewing Federal, State and Foreign tax returns
Reviewing general partner tax distributions
Required Skills
10+ years of public or private experience
CPA
Advanced degree
Experience with Tax - State & Local; Research & Planning; Partnership; Compliance
PE tax experience
Knowledge of FIN 48 and Financial Analysis
