Fed up of working in practice and looking for something a bit different? This leading law firm based in the centre of Newcastle is looking for a corporate tax specialist to join its highly regarded corporate team.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Advising individual and corporate shareholders on tax issues arising in relation to corporate transactions, including acquisitions, disposal, demergers, group reorganisations, joint ventures.
* Drafting and negotiating tax aspects of legal documentation (including tax covenants and warranties).
* Advising on tax issues arising in relation to property transactions (in particular, providing advice on SDLT) and termination of employment.
* Advising companies (listed and unlisted) on the choice of, and establishment and operation of, employee share schemes (including restricted share plans, company share options plans, SAYE schemes, SIPs).
* General pro-active advice to clients on tax-related issues.
You should be CTA qualified with a minimum of 4 years' corporate tax experience. Experience in all of the above areas of tax is not a prerequisite as the firm will provide training, however enthusiasm and a willingness to learn is a must.
