My client, a Big 4 firm in Aberdeen, is looking for a Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join their existing team of approximately 30 staff. You would have your own client portfolio, and would work directly for the Directors/Partners in the team and the clients are primarily in the oil & gas industry, with a mix of upstream and service sector.
Aberdeen is located in the North East of Scotland and for many years has been known as the 'Oil Capital of Europe'. Aberdeen is a thriving city that is becoming more cosmopolitan by the day! Aberdeen is a great location to work and bring up a family as the city centre is buzzing, however, you only have to go 10 minutes outside the city to reach beautiful scenery, walks and tranquility.
This postiion would involve:
* Compliance, audit of tax and ad-hoc consulting work, including tax due diligence and other projects.
* You would also support the local Partners and Directors in marketing, recruitment and office events, and would be involved in the development of junior staff.
You will work directly for Directors and Partners in the team, based both locally and in London, Norway and Houston, on a variety of client assignments. You will have access to some of our most senior people from the outset.
Essential skills needed for the role:
• CA and/or CTA qualification
• 1-2 years experience in Senior Manager or equivalent role
• Experience of consulting projects
• Strong communication and project management skills
Desirable skills sought for the role:
• Knowledge/experience of the oil industry
• Motivated to succeed
• Ability to manage own portfolio and develop opportunities
