My Client, a large multinational company in Aberdeen, is currently recruiting for a corporate tax senior. This is the perfect opportunity for someone at assistant manager grade looking for their first move into industry.
You will be responsible for managing work assigned to the Corporation Tax function for the UK. This includes advisory services and compliance (tax return and statutory filing). You will manage relationships with external tax advisors as required, including liaising and negotiating with tax authorities as required. You will be encouraged to actively participate in the worldwide Tax Team as required.
Day to day functions will vary on a project by project basis and you will get experience of Transfer Pricing agreements, performing due dilligence on M&A's and worldwide debt management. Any exposure to international tax would be a bonus.
You will be:
Qualified CA/CTA with strong corporate tax experience.
Have knowledge of wider taxation issues such as VAT, Customs Duties and Stamp Taxes (advantageous but not essential).
Experience in working in a company with multi-jurisdictional concerns, or within an accountancy firm dealing with cross border issues.
First class communication skills both written and verbal.
Must be approachable and a positive team player.
Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
Excellent project management skills and flexible working practices to ensure that deadlines are met whilst accommodating the many time constraints of non-tax colleagues.
