This household name is seeking a talented Tax Manager to join their high-achieving and friendly tax team. You will be part of a company known for rewarding its staff, within a role offering interesting technical tax work as well as good commercial exposure.
The Role
- Responsible for tax consolidation processing for UK companies
- Compliance with the Group's UK corporation tax obligations
- Communicating with HMRC on a range of issues.
- Helping to ensure that robust processes and controls are maintained in respect of UK tax compliance
- Contributing to the management of the Group's tax financial reporting obligations.
- Monitoring and managing tax risks in the overseas group.
- Proactively identifying tax issues and opportunities
- Actively managing the implementation of approved tax strategies.
- Advise on the tax impact of specific business transactions (e.g. acquisitions/disposals, property acquisitions/disposals, overseas expansion).
- Maintaining excellent communications with the rest of the Business.
Qualifications/Experience required
- ACA/CTA qualified or equivalent
- UK corporate tax experience, including knowledge of tax accounting principles
- Experience of tax consolidation
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent team work skills and proactive self-starter
