Reach International is working with this global Accountancy Firm based in Qatar to appoint a Manager or Deputy Manager to their Corporate Tax team.
This firm works with its clients to help identify complete commercial strategies to address the tax problems arising from their business activities and ambitions. Their services include advice on key international tax issues such as international holding company structures and hybrid instruments and entities. Furthermore they have considerable experience with issues such as contract manufacturing and commissionaire structures.
By providing international corporate tax advice this firm helps their clients businesses achieve lower effective tax rates, with resultant cash flow benefits and enhanced shareholder value.
The Role
Key responsibilities:
The candidate would be responsible for Tax Compliance and Advisory as follows:
1.Compliance ? checking compliance for 120 corporate tax-payers
* Coordinating with the audit teams for audited financial statements
* Corresponding with the Tax Department
* Appeals to the Appeals Commission on behalf of the tax-payer
2.Advisory
* Advising clients on the Qatari Tax regime and related laws
* Advising clients on how to establish a legal entity
* Reviewing tax returns
* Coordinating with other firm offices with regard to Qatari clients investing outside of Qatar.
The Candidate
* Fully qualified ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent. A tax designation an advantage but not essential
* Minimum of 3+ years experience in Tax advisory ideally within a Big 4/Top 10 firm
* Must be fluent in both wriiten and spoken Arabic and English
