Top-tier firm located in Reading requires a motivated Executive to join its successful regional Corporate Tax team. In order to attract the best candidate, this firm is offering up to 35k, plus performance based benefits. The main focus of this role is to become an integral part of the tax team by supporting the managers in the delivery of first class client service.
Reporting to the Senior Manager/Director, and tasked with supporting the Thames Valley team, the key responsibilities are as follows:
- Assisting senior members of the team in providing clients with a professional and efficient service
- Demonstrating sufficient technical knowledge to undertake relevant work
- Providing general support to clients in the provision of tax advice
- Regularly attending meetings and when appropriate proactively encouraging the partner/manager to follow up on agreed actions
- Liaising with HMRC
- Taking steps to minimize professional risk, including the appropriate documentation of services provided
The successful candidate will be ATT/CTA qualified or equivalent with up to date tax knowledge and previous experience of preparing tax returns and managing own client portfolio. This Reading based office has a meritocratic environment which has an emphasis on attracting and rewarding successful individuals.
