The corporate tax consultant role
Looking to recruit a corporate tax consultant to join the corporate tax team, reporting into Senior Tax Manager. This role will be maternity cover, and the successful applicant will be accountable for their own portfolio of clients.
Duties will include dealing with the compliance aspects of the tax work, including review and preparation of corporation tax returns and computations, running a portfolio of clients, tax advice to clients and involvement with tax planning and projects. The role provides a variety of work as the corporate client portfolio is varied and includes OMB's, SME's, groups (including international groups) and some not-for-profit organisations.
The role will also involve ad hoc tax advisory work to the client base
About you
We are looking for an experienced corporate tax compliance supervisor or consultant who will be able to come in and hit the ground running in terms of managing their own portfolio, including preparation of corporation tax returns, whilst being accountable for reviewing the work of the tax seniors in the team. Experience of using computerised accounts and tax packages is expected.
The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate that they are confident in dealing with their colleagues, partners and clients alike. In order to manage their own portfolio and review the work of others, prioritisation and organisational skills are essential to ensure all deadlines are met. Individuals must be able to work on their own initiative in this respect. As with any role it is essential that applicants have the ability to provide accurate work in a timely and cost effective manner.
