Our client is one of the largest financial services in companies in the world and a leading wealth manager with over £100bn client assets globally. It serves high net worth and intermediary clients worldwide, providing international and private banking, investment management and brokerage.
They are looking to hire an Associate Director to be based in either Hong Kong or Singapore
•To provide expert legal advice and counsel to the Wealth business, particularly in relation to law and regulation of financial services in Hong Kong, Singapore and the wider region.
•To identify, manage and train staff on legal risk issues.
•Proactively develop relationships with a broad range of business areas and other stakeholders.
•Manage external law firms work and relationships.
You will be a qualified lawyer with:
oa strong technical knowledge of financial services law and general banking law
oexperience of general wealth management/private banking
oexperience of involvement with bank business development and senior management
•Familiarity with OTC derivatives and structured products and other investment products
Academic and professional qualifications
•Singapore or Hong Kong qualified lawyer or equivalent foreign qualified lawyer
•5 years post qualification experience
Language skills
•Excellent written and spoken English ability
•Cantonese or Mandarin skills preferred but not essential
