This major US multinational has an opportunity for an international trade and customs specialist. The purpose of this position is to oversee the import, export and duty suspension regime activities of the company's operations in the Asia-Pacific region. This is with a view to maintain a high standard of compliance with region and other local government agency laws and regulations. It will be responsible for minimising the risk of penalty and fines due to non-compliance, maximising the opportunities for duty reduction and providing support for all group entities within the Asia-Pac region in the operation of the Global Trade Compliance Practices. This will be accomplished by ensuring that effective trade compliance activities are in operation at facilities in the APR region and by managing strategic planning for APR trade operations and representation to government authorities.
